What Is Needlepoint Kitting?

Needlepoint kitting is the process of selecting the threads needed to stitch a canvas. When you choose to have your canvas kitted at Navy Noo, our team selects fibers to help you complete your project in basketweave or continental stitch.

  • Threads selected specifically for your canvas
  • Color planning based on the original design
  • Sufficient fiber to complete the project as designed using basketweave or continetnal

We offer kitting using a variety of fiber brands and types. Fiber selection is based on your chosen kitting option and availability.

Kitting Options

Kit with Our Favorites includes a thoughtfully curated mix of fibers selected by the Navy Noo team. These kits often feature a combination of thread types and may include a sparkly or specialty fiber when appropriate for the design.

Single-fiber kits are created entirely using one fiber type, based on your selection. These kits offer a cohesive stitching experience using threads from a single fiber line. For exmaple kit with essentials means the full kit will be comprised of threads from the line essentials.

Pricing & Invoicing

Kit pricing varies based on canvas size and the kitting option selected.

Kitting is charged at the time of purchase. The exception is trunk shows, where kitting is invoiced separately after your canvas purchase.

Kitting Policy

  • Kitting is a custom service and all kit sales are final.
  • Color selection is subjective and determined by the Navy Noo team. We do not offer refunds or replacements based on color preference.
  • Kits are designed to support basketweave or continental stitch only. We do not kit for backgrounds or decorative stitches.
  • Thread substitutions may be made based on availability or fiber performance.
  • Stretcher bars, tacks, finishing, stitch guides, and background threads are not included.
  • Trunk show kitting is invoiced separately and is not charged at checkout.
